Start Half

Queens Park Rangers dominated the first half, and perhaps Sunderland were a little fortunate to go into the break all square. The second half was almost completely one-sided, though, with Sunderland's fatigue apparent. Andros Townsend made the breakthrough with an absolute peach from outside the area, and from there Sunderland looked a beaten team. QPR grabbed another just before the end, Jermaine Jenas with a great strike of his own. Things are looking up for the Hoops, but it's worrying times for Sunderland.
The final whistle sounds and the stadium erupts in celebration of QPR's first back-to-back wins this season.
It's almost a concolation for Sunderland, as Larsson whips the ball in for Steven Fletcher. Robert Green denies the striker.
Sunderland didn't look like scoring, but Queens Park Rangers fans won't mind this two-goal cushion to let them rest easy for the final couple of minutes. The ball is cleared to JERMAINE JENAS, who drills his finish into the bottom corner from 20 yards out.
It's three for QPR. Jermaine Jenas the scorer this time, securing the three points for the hosts.
Even more bad news, I'm afraid. Steven Fletcher is now down holding his ankle. Not good for a team with such a lack of attacking options.
I hate to be the bearer of more bad news, Sunderland fans, but it looks like Stephane Sessegnon is suffering with a possible injury here. It looks like he's going to see the game out but he's moving rather sheepishly.
Sunderland just look happy to sucumb to their fate now. The travelling fans try to motivate their players for a corner, but Larsson's delivery doesn't even clear the first man.
Jose Bosingwa's inswinging free kick travels marginally wide of the left-hand upright. I'm not sure if someone got a slight touch on that, but Sunderland live to see another day.
Loic Remy is off and is replaced by Jermaine Jenas. The QPR new boy receives a round of applause for his efforts today. Sunderland have one last throw of the dice with Phil Bardsley replacing Jack Colback.
The rigorous fixture list looks like it's taking its toll on Sunderland and their small squad. They look completely fatigued and aren't showing any fight at all, really.
Sunderland bring on David Vaughan for Alfred N'Diaye. That's about the most attacking option they have. QPR bring on Shaun Wright-Phillips for Junior Hoilett.
Looking at the Sunderland bench, there's not much that Martin O'Neill can do about this. He's taken off a striker, and doesn't have any more attacking options in reserve. Meanwhile, Harry Redknapp has brought Jamie Mackie on. Zamora departs.
It almost goes from bad to worse for Sunderland, as Craig Gardner brings Junior Hoilett down aggressively. He is only cautioned, but it could easily have been red.
The linesman signals for a foul on Andros Townsend, and he must be the only one who's seen anything wrong there. Jose Bosingwa lofts it in and it's headed out to ANDROS TOWNSEND, who controls it with his chest and volleys it into the top corner! He's been great all game and that is a screamer.
Well that one was worth waiting for! Andros Townsend puts QPR ahead with an absolute beauty!
Wahey, finally a shot amongst all this inaction. It's not actually that good but at least it's something. Andros Townsend creates a yard of space and actually strikes the ball quite well, but Titus Bramble makes the block.
This isn't living up to the standard of the first half, I'm afraid. It's very cautious stuff and we haven't seen any meaningful attacks yet.
Alfred N'Diaye is the first man to go into the book.
This is an interesting one. Danny Rose is on for Danny Graham. That's a left-back on for a striker. Not quite sure what Martin O'Neill has in mind there, but I suppose the Sunderland defence has looked vulnerable so far.
There's one for Bosingwa. Sunderland construct a decent-looking move, with Adam Johnson receiving the ball from the influential Sessegnon. The winger tries to get the better of the Portugese defender, but is forced to turn back and try for goal. Bosingwa makes the block. Good defending.
With eight minutes of this second half played, still neither side is willing to take the initiative and we are yet to see a clear-cut chance since the break. Stephane Sessegnon pulls the trigger but only succeeds in hitting the top tier, earning a collective jeer from the home contingent.
The two sides are just testing the water at the moment. We saw how effective counter-attacks were in the first half, so both teams are wary of committing too many players at this stage.
Craig Gardner's early cross is only half-cleared, affording Adam Johnson a chance to test the keeper, but his shots is skewed wide of goal.
And we're off again. Both sides are unchanged at the break.
It's been an entertaining 45 minutes at Loftus Road, with the home side showing much more ambition than the visitors. It was, however, the Black Cats who took the lead through Steven Fletcher, who finished off a wonderful counter-attack. The Hoops pegged them back fairly quickly, though, Loic Remy tapping home following a deflected cross from Andros Townsend. Then the onslaught started, Remy squandering a header and a volley in quick succession. Sunderland have managed to survive until half time, and have shown some promise on the break, so this could go either way.
QPR certainly aren't happy to sit back and run the clock down - once again Andros Townsend orchestrating the onslaught. He manages to evade the mass of defenders, before pulling the ball back from the byline. John O'Shea just gets the better of Zamora at the near post, and the danger is supressed. That's the last action of the half. 1-1 at the break.
The game has lost a bit of its bite at the moment, with Sunderland showing a little more composure on the ball. The Black Cats are enjoying a little more possession now, and are more than happy to run the clock down to half time.
Sunderland bring the hosts back down to earth for a second, constructing another counter-attack. It comes to nothing, however, as Craig Gardner's cross is far too easy for the keeper to come and collect.
This is a great spell for Queens Park Rangers, who are now coming forward relentlessly. Harry Redknapp will be bitterly disappointed if they go into the interval all square, though, as they're squandering opportunities left, right and centre at the moment. This time, Craig Gardner gives the ball away cheaply, but Junior Hoilett tries to win a penalty, rather than going for goal. The referee is having none of it. Moments later, Stephane Mbia has a grass-trimming drive saved by Mignolet.
Ooh, Remy almost doubled up there. It's a glancing header from the goalscorer, following a pinpoint cross from Andros Townsend, but Simon Mignolet is alert and palms the ball away. Another great chance ensues for Remy, this time as a result of a head-down from his striking partner. However, he lacks composure as he blasts the volley over the bar. He could have had a hat-trick already!
It's a dose of ill-fortune for Sunderland, but Queens Park Rangers won't mind! The ball in takes an unfortunate deflection off John O'Shea, falling straight into the path of LOIC REMY, who can't miss. That's his third goal in five appearances for the Hoops - could he be the hero to steer them out of the relegation zone?
There's the equaliser! It's a third goal of the season for Loic Remy.
It should be 2-0! Sebastian Larsson shows great vision and accuracy to pick out Danny Graham in the area. He is unmarked but perhaps a little surprised that the ball has beaten the entire defence, and ends up putting his rushed header well over the bar.
Jose Bosingwa has typically been running that wing relentlessly so far, and has put a number of crosses into the box, but he has to remain aware of his defensive duties, especially with Adam Johnson's pace and trickery.
Sunderland break with incision once again, but this time they can't quite make their minds up quickly enough, allowing Christopher Samba to win the ball and shield it out of play.
It's been end to end so far, and that's a classic counter-attacking goal. STEVEN FLETCHER starts the move off with a clever backheel to Stephane Sessegnon, who beats Bosingwa and puts in a peach of a ball for Fletcher to tap in from four yards out. That's his 11th of the season!
Sunderland take the lead through Steven Fletcher!
This could be another key battle this afternoon, with Sunderland coming forward with serious intent for the first time. It's Adam Johnson vs Jose Bosingwa on the right wing. This time Bosingwa stays strong and concedes only a throw in, but I have a feeling that Johnson will be running at the Portuguese defender all afternoon. Alfred N'Diaye has a go, but his shot lacks precision and power.
It's Junior Hoilett who's bossing the game at the moment. This time he turns his man and tries to feed in Bobby Zamora. But they aren't quite on the same wavelength and Zamora fails to latch on to the through ball.
That's the first real sight of goal, and it's the hosts that have created the chance. The well-worked move eventually finds its way to Junior Hoilett, but his shot from inside the area goes comfortably wide of the right-hand post.
Both sides are really going for it, but with both teams working hard, there's been a lot of petty fouls and the game can't really get going.
QPR put an attack of their own together, with Junior Hoilett fizzing a left-footer across goal. No danger for Simon Mignolet, though.
The game is underway and it's a quick start for the visitors, with Adam Johnson getting an early shot in.
Danny Rose still isn't match fit, so he is among the subs, with Jack Colback earning another start. McClean is suffering from illness, so Alfred N'Diaye steps in. It's Fletcher and Danny Graham spearheading the attack.
Julio Cesar misses out, so Robert Green steps in between the sticks. The good news is that Bobby Zamora has been passed as fit, which means that in-form Jay Bothroyd is dropped to the bench. Loic Remy partners Zamora up front.
Kick off is at 15.00 BST. Join us shortly beforehand, when we should have confirmed team news, followed by full text coverage of Queens Park Rangers vs Sunderland.
QPR will give late fitness tests to Julio Cesar and Bobby Zamora, both of whom are still struggling with injury; Zamora having been sidelined with ankle and hip problems recently. Ex-Manchester United defender Wes Brown isn't looking like returning to action for the Black Cats anytime soon. The damage sustained to his knee should see him miss the remainder of the season. It's not all doom and gloom, though, Danny Rose should be fit for selection following a stint away from the pitch with a hamstring injury.
The stats aren't looking good for QPR; in fact, it's a pretty dismal record they hold against the Wearside club. The Black Cats have four wins in the last five visits to Loftus Road, and the Hoops haven't won at home against Sunderland since 1990. Things are looking up, though, with 16 points in 15 games since Redknapp took over.
The genius escape artist is at it again. He's managed to revive a number of down-and-outs in recent years: Portsmouth, West Ham, even Spurs – remember, they were struggling when Harry took over. Could he do the impossible once again in White City? One thing's for sure, these games are must-wins for the Rangers.
Today Sunderland travel south to try and put a halt on Harry Redknapp's resurrection; the basement-dwellers have their first chance of back-to-back wins this season, following a spirited victory against fellow strugglers, Southampton. The Hoops are now just four points from safety, and with another relegation battle in Aston Villa vs Reading taking place this afternoon, there's a chance that the Londoners can lift themselves off the bottom with a win against Sunderland.
