ARTETA THE VILLAIN

A stunning game at the Emirates once again highlighted the best and worst of Arsenal. Olivier Giroud looks to have finally acclimatised to the Premier League as he grabbed a deserved brace and may have had more. Lukas Podolski also popped up with a vital goal. Giroud's efforts were more than matched by Dimitar Berbatov, who scored two and set up Alex Kacaniklic's well-taken header. Mikel Arteta nearly surrendered the game to Fulham by giving a penalty away with a poor challenge on Bryan Ruiz, which Berbatov converted. However, Arteta had a chance to win the match with the last kick of the ball but the midfielder's wretched afternoon was complete when Mark Schwarzer saved.

Olivier Giroud is on fire after his brace. The striker picks the ball up, gets the ball out of his feet and hits a swirling shot that Mark Schwarzer saves. The last ten minutes promises a lot of action.

SAVING CHALLENGE

Alex Kacaniklic escapes down the left and picks out Dimitar Berbatov. The striker looks nailed on to grab his hat-trick, but Laurent Koscielny sprints back and blocks the first shot. The ball falls back for Berbatov, but Koscielny bounces up to block a second time.

POOR SHOT

Santi Cazorla is still struggling to get back to the form of a couple of weeks ago. The midfielder tries to find some space and hits a shot at goal, but Fulham file back to block.

GOOAALL!!

Fulham nearly get a fourth, but Vito Mannone saves from Alex Kacaniklic. Arsenal break and Olivier Giroud looks certain to score, beating the keeper but hitting the post. Theo Walcott retrieves the ball and finds Olivier Giroud, who heads past Mark Schwarzer. Amazing stuff.

GOOAALL!!

That was never in doubt. Dimitar Berbatov smashes the ball past Vito Mannone to complete the turnaround.

PENALTY!

Mikel Arteta gives the ball away to Bryan Ruiz and then tries to win the ball back, but brings the forward down in the box and the referee points to the spot.

YELLOW CARD

Some strange refereeing here. Steven Sidwell fouls Santi Cazorla and the referee goes to show a yellow card to the Fulham midfielder, who is already on a booking. However, Phil Dowd bottles it and calls Aaron Ramsey over, issuing him with a yellow for I don`t know what.

GOOD DEFENDING

A real chance for Fulham as they pour forward, but the cut back is not good enough and Laurent Koscielny cuts it out.

ARSENAL SUBSTITUTION

Francis Coquelin is replaced by Aaron Ramsey - can the midfielder provide Arsenal with the inspiration they need?

WHAT A MISS

Theo Walcott does really well to run at the full back and deliver a floated cross into Olivier Giroud. The striker should find the back of the net, but pulls out of the header at the last minute.

LUCKY HANGELAND

The Fulham centre back - often linked with a move to Arsenal - makes a complete mess of a through-ball, but it hits him on the back and bounces back into his path and he is able to clear.

SECOND HALF

We are back underway.

FOUR-GOAL THRILLER

A bizarre half at the Emirates as Arsenal raced into a two-goal lead without breaking a sweat and then managed to hand the game straight back to Fulham with a show of defensive ineptitude. Olivier Giroud grabbed the opening goal with a fine header from a Theo Walcott corner and Lukas Podolski doubled that lead with a neat finish from a Mikel Arteta cross. With Arsenal two-nil up, the game looked dead and buried as Fulham had looked toothless until Dimitar Berbatov headed home from a corner as the Gunners' defence stood and watched. The former Manchester United striker then set up with equaliser for Alex Kacaniklic, who finished past a hapless Vito Mannone.

Sascha Riether finds Dimitar Berbatov, who turns and picks out Alex Kacaniklic. The substitute does well to head past Vito Mannone. Arsenal have given away a two-goal lead for the second time in a week.

Alex Kacaniklic is starting to get involved and runs at the Arsenal defence, before trying to deliver a telling cross. Laurent Koscielny is there to head away.

POOR FREE KICK

Arsenal have a free kick from a decent position, but Theo Walcott hits a flat ball in and Dimitar Berbatov is able to clear.

GOOAALL!!

They do it to themselves. Just as this game looked to be in Arsenal's hands, they throw it all into doubt with some terrible defending. A corner is swung in and Dimitar Berbatov is the only player to attack it. The striker makes no mistake to head past Vito Mannone.

ARSENAL IN CONTROL

The Gunners are in their pomp now as the confidence comes flooding back and Fulham find themselves up against it. The away side had started brightly, but they will surely struggle to find their way back into this match.

Olivier Giroud robs the Fulham defence, but opts to try to beat Mark Schwarzer from 25 yards out and fails miserably. The striker still seems a bit anxious in front of goal.

JUST WIDE

An early chance for Fulham as Vito Mannone gets himself in all sorts of trouble from a Bryan Ruiz shot. The keeper is never getting there, but a deflection takes it wide for the corner.

KICK OFF

Following a minute's silence for Remembrance Sunday, we are underway at the Emirates.

FULHAM TEAM NEWS

Mahamadou Diarra failed a late fitness test so Steve Sidwell comes into midfield. Kieran Richardson returns from injury and will patrol the left wing, whilst Ashkan Dejagah comes in on the opposite flank.

ARSENAL TEAM NEWS

Jack Wilshere is suspended for one match, so Francis Coquelin comes into midfield. Theo Walcott starts on the right with Olivier Giroud leading the attack. Wojciech Szczesny is named on the bench.

Today's official Phil Dowd has been very card happy so far this season, showing 42 yellow cards and three red cards.

FULHAM LOOKING UP

Last season Martin Jol's side took a little while to get going, but this year they have come out firing as the manager's methods have finally bedded in. Fulham have the same number of points as today's opponents and could even leapfrog into fourth with a historic victory – they have never won away at Arsenal in 26 visits.

GUNNERS NEED TO RELOAD

The most worrying thing for Arsenal isn't the quickly evaporating hope, but the complete absence of confidence following a couple of poor performances. Take the once dazzling Santi Cazorla, who now looks out of sorts and bereft of inspiration. It's plot not unlike an Austin Powers movie, the Gunners need to get their mojo back and soon.

WENGER NEEDS A VICTORY

It is officially Arsenal's worst start to a season since Arsene Wenger took over and today they face a team that they have not beaten for almost two years. Fulham's pre-match interviews have all been about piling further pressure on the Gunners and you have to fancy Martin Jol's side to get something out of this match as Arsenal suddenly look woefully short of confidence.
