That's it then - a hard earned point for both sides in Greater Manchester. Wigan created the better of the second-half chances and, but for the simply magnificent Mark Schwarzer, could easily have had three or four. As it was, though, first-half strikes from Emmerson Boyce and Clint Dempsey ensured a share of the spoils, leaving both sides floating in mid table. Wigan 1-1 Fulham.
Wigan with a late flurry into the Fulham area, but the Cottagers clear their lines. Full-time at the DW, Wigan 1-1 Fulham.
Like for like as Jason Koumas replaces Jason Scotland.
Dickson Etuhu concedes a needless free kick, and booking, for a foul on Diame on the edge of the ‘D'. Ideal position for the left peg of N'Zogbia, but it's straight at the keeper.
Three to go at the DW.
Fulham ending the second half as they did the first - on top and looking the more likely. Wigan are rocking.
Fresh legs as Zoltan Gera trots on in place of Erik Nevland.
Erik Nevland - you bad, bad boy. A blatant dive from the Norwegian under Titus Bramble's innocuous challenge, and Dowd falls for it. The Wigan man might want to get that overturned.
Fulham are having a go at Wigan as Damien Duff tests the reflexes of Chris Kirkland. He's not had much to do, but - when called upon - Kirkland's made some pretty decent saves.
Roy Hodgson follows suit, with Dickson Etuhu coming on in place of Jonathan Greening.
First change of the afternoon as Scott Sinclair replaces Erik Edman. Decent performance from the Swede, who - until now - had been sidelined since March 2008.
Damien Duff races up field, but instead of going for goal the Irishman plays in Dempsey, who lamps one over the bar.
N'Zogbia plants one on the head of Scharner, but Mark Schwarzer pulls off a stunning, reaction save to keep the scores level. The Australian's keeping Fulham in it at the mo'.
Charles N'Zogbia weaves his way into the Fulham box, but can't find a way past the superb reflexes of Mark Schwarzer.
It's all Wigan, with N'Zogbia and Scharner the creative force behind each and every attack. Hugo Rodallega picks up the ball around 20 yards from goal, but Chris Baird stands his ground to block the Columbian's fierce effort.
Hendry Thomas gets on the end of a cross from Rodallega and powers a header towards goal. Mark Schwarzer doesn't know much about it, but it's a cracking save and Fulham survive.
Jonathan Greening takes one for the team as the speedy N'Zogbia threatens on the counter. Blatant foul.
Wigan break, but Hugo Rodallega's long ranger sails up, over and into the stands. Textbook spooner.
Encounters between these two have been tight - Wigan have won 10, Fulham 13 and there have been 11 draws.
Things are picking up at the DW. N'Zogbia releases Scharner and the Austrian draws a flying save from Mark Schwarzer.
Erik Edman picks up a booking for infringement. Clint Dempsey retakes the free kick and forces an unorthodox save from Kirkland, who bundles away Greening's follow-up.
Scharner clears Duff's resulting corner. The Austrian feeds Rodallega, but his effort cannons back off Hangeland.
Paul Konchesky races up the Fulham left, but Charles N'Zogbia - who must have run about 50-yards - slides in before the Fulham man can whip one into the mixer.
The two sides have picked up where they left off at the end of the first 45. Wigan move forward, but Jonathan Greening gets a block in and leads a Fulham charge, which breaks down.
Up and running again at the DW.
Even stevens at the break. Wigan came out of the blocks flying and took a deserved lead through Emmerson Boyce, but a lapse in concentration gifted Fulham a way back into the game from the spot. All to play for at the DW, stay tuned.
That goal's done Fulham the world of good. After a slow start, they're well on top as we approach the half-time whistle.
Apparently, Paul Scharner almost moved to Fulham in the summer. Scharner's out of contract at the end of the season and it remains to be seen if Hodgson returns to sign him when he becomes a free agent.
Cool as you like, Dempsey sends Chris Kirkland the wrong way. Game on.
Ping pong in the Wigan box as the Latics fail to clear a Damien Duff free kick. Titus Bramble clatters into the back of Clint Dempsey and there's hesitation on Phil Dowd's part - stonewall penalty. The American will take it...
It's not pretty as the ball flies from one end to another, but to no avail. We need a spark and we need one fast.
Greening concedes a free kick in a dangerous position on the edge of the Fulham box. Rodallega curls the resulting kick towards goal, but Dempsey does his job in the wall and deflects the ball away from Schwarzer's goal.
In terms of possession, Fulham are beginning to click. But chance wise, they've offered little. Interestingly, Roy Hodgson's side have failed to score in only one of their last 12 games in all competitions...
Mohamed Diame escapes with just a talking to after a late challenge on Damien Duff. The resulting kick predictably comes to nothing.
Good spell for Fulham, who win a corner. Duff picks out the head of Erik Nevland, but the little striker nods wide. Decent chance, that.
Jason Scotland feeds Rodallega, who fires one down the throat of Mark Schwarzer from the edge of the 'D'. Fulham are allowing N'Zogbia and Scotland far too much time and space down the flanks.
Hardly the greatest advert for Premier League football, with Wigan asking all the questions without creating much by way of chances. Fulham haven't turned up.
No wonder Fulham have yet to find their stride. Of the 13 Premier League goals they've scored this season, 10 have come in the second half.
One hell of a save from Mark Schwarzer to keep out Charles N'Zogbia's 25-yarder that had top corner written all over it. Wigan are well on top.
Advantage Wigan. The Latics win a corner and, when the ball comes in from N'Zogbia, Emmerson Boyce meets Scharner's flick-on to power a header into the net.
Nevland pounces on a loose ball from Edman and plays a quick give and go with Zamora. The Norwegian continues his run into the box, but his header comes back off the post.
Hugo Rodallega rises unchallenged at the back stick to meet N'Zogbia's inviting cross. You'd fancy him to turn it home, but he heads wide.
Not much to shout about at the DW. No rhythm to Fulham's play just yet - Wigan are edging it.
Charles N'Zogbia ploughs forward down the right, but his in-swinging cross is cleared by Brede Hangeland.
Wigan have never lost to Fulham at home in the Premier League. Indeed, Fulham's last win at Wigan came back in 1992, when they triumphed 3-1.
Phil Dowd has replaced Mark Clattenburg as the game's man in black. Assume he pulled something in the warm-up.
Nevland collides with Boyce and Wigan win an early free kick in their own half. Nothing comes of it, though.
After a well observed minute's silence in memory of the fallen, we're good to go.
No Danny Murphy or Andy Johnson, but Damien Duff has been passed fit to start. Bobby Zamora, who picked up a rare goal against Liverpool last time out, joins Erik Nevland in attack.
Erik Edman returns at left-back after a bout of concussion. Paul Scharner's shaken off a minor leg complaint to start in midfield, while Hugo Rodallega and Jason Scotland continue up top.

Mark Clattenburg takes charge of this one. The Consett-born ref's not afraid to make his point as he proved last month when he came out in defence of Alan Wiley after Sir Alex Ferguson's post-match ‘tubby taunts'. Incidentally, he's already refereed the Latics twice this season, both away from home, the opening day win at Aston Villa and the 2-1 defeat at Hull
Participating in the Europa League has undoubtedly been a cracking experience, but Roy Hodgson has been quick to speak about its downside, "What happens is you get injuries as players don't have time to recover." And looking at the Cottagers' injury list, he's hit the nail firmly on the head. Mohammed Al-Fayed may need to splash the cash come January.
Roy Hodgson, once again, finds his squad hit by injuries to key men. Danny Murphy is likely to miss out with a knee problem, while Damien Duff (Achilles) and Andy Johnson (shoulder) are doubtful. Toni Kallio (Achilles) and David Stockdale (knee) remain sidelined.
Apart from the long-term knee injury to Maynor Figueroa, Wigan should be at full-strength. Swedish full-back Erik Edman is available again following a bout of concussion.
No disrespect Wigan fans, but after a trip to Rome, a bus ride to the DW Stadium is arguably something of a come down. Fulham will, nevertheless, be hoping to continue their good form - form that has seen Roy Hodgson collect the Manager of the month award for October - with victory over the Latics. The thing is, you never know what you're going to get with Roberto Martinez' side. One week they're magnificent (exhibit A: Wigan 3-1 Chelsea), and the next they're darn right awful (exhibit B: Pompey 4-0 Wigan). The two sides' current mid-table position accurately reflects their fluctuating fortunes this season, but there are signs that both can clamber up the league ladder, beyond mid-table mediocrity.
