Start Half

Barnsley made it into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup with a convincing 3-1 victory away at MK Dons. Chris Dagnall scored either side of a Marlon Harewood goal, meaning the Tykes stand a chance of recreating their 2008 heroics, in which they reached the semi-final stage of the competition. MK Dons offered little in the first half and found themselves 2-0 down by the break. However, they came out rejuvenated in the second period, getting a goal back through Dean Bowditch. A nasty injury to Kelvin Etuhu saw the game delayed for nearly 10 minutes, and meant there were 12 minutes added on at the end, with Dagnall bagging his second and Barnsley's third just a couple of minutes in. Any chance of a Dons comeback was ruled out when Alan Smith received his marching orders for a silly elbow on Rory Delap, as Barnsley's impressive form continued under new manager David Flitcroft.
That's it! Barnsley deservedly go into the hat for the final eight after a 3-1 victory over MK Dons this afternoon.
Smith's dismissal has really taken the sting out of MK Dons' performance. Just a couple of minutes to go of the 12 added on, and Barnsley are seeing it out comfortably.
Extraordinary! Alan Smith has been sent off for MK Dons! He goes in for a header with Rory Delap, right in front of the referee, and elbows the Irish midfielder in the side. What a stupid thing to do from a vastly experienced player.
Chris Dagnall races onto a lovely through ball from David Perkins, feigning left and slotting past David Martin. Still 10 minutes left, but a big ask for MK Dons to get something out of this one.
3-1 Barnsley! Chris Dagnall gets his second!
Kelvin Etuhu's injury earlier in the half means there will be 12 - that's TWELVE - minutes added on. Still lots to play for.
The one downside of MK Dons' attacking outlook is that they're left rather short at the back. Barnsley capitalise, flooding forward through Chris Dagnall. After a cross is cut out, Jacob Mellis' shot bobbles inches wide of the far post.
Jason Scotland should have buried the game here. He is played through on goal, cuts inside onto his right foot and gets his shot all wrong, firing far too high and wide.
A Shaun Williams free kick is saved by Luke Steele at his near post. MK Dons piling on the pressure late on.
Apparently Kelvin Etuhu, who was stretchered off earlier in the second half after a clash of heads, was unconscious for the whole duration of his treatment on the field. Luckily, he came to in the ambulance.
Great stuff from Luke Steele, who denies Alan Smith an equaliser for MK Dons with a spectacular save over the crossbar.
Shaun Williams goes into the book for a reckless challenge on Scott Golbourne. Studs up, high foot; definite yellow.
Rory Delap is on for Barnsley, replacing Bobby Hassell.
Goalscorer Dean Bowditch comes off after picking up a knock. Chris Lines is the man to replace him.
Centre back Shaun Williams steps up to power the free kick goalwards, but his effort flies well over the crossbar.
Lovely trickery from Daniel Powell on the edge of the Barnsley box. He knocks it past Scott Wiseman, who brings him down right on the edge of the box. It's a free kick to the home side, but it was inches away from being a penalty.
MK Dons are back in with a shout out of nothing! Bowditch does really well to win the ball just outside the centre circle, and with a gaping hole in the Barnsley defence, he advances forward and coolly slots past Luke Steele. Dons boss Karl Robinson goes absolutely mental on the touchline, riling his side up for what is sure to be an enthralling final quarter.
Game on! Dean Bowditch pulls one back for MK Dons!
James O'Brien is on for the injured Etuhu.
Etuhu is stretchered off after lengthy treatment, and it looks like he's going to be put straight into an ambulance in order to head to hospital. Doesn't look good for the Barnsley man; we can only hope it's not as serious as it looked.
Etuhu is still receiving treatment in the middle of the MK Dons half. James O'Brien is going to be the man to replace him, but only after he's stretchered off the field. In the build-up to the move in which Etuhu was injured, Gary MacKenzie received a yellow card for the Dons.
There's some concern for Barnsley midfielder Kelvin Etuhu at the minute, who looks as though he might have to be stretchered off following a fairly innocuous challenge. Looks like it might be a head injury.
First contribution by Jason Scotland, and it's a lovely touch by the Trinidadian striker. He receives the ball on the edge of the box with his back to goal and flicks it neatly into the path of Jacob Mellis. The midfielder runs onto it but his first touch is too heavy and the chance is wasted.
Both managers shuffling their pack in the break; Adam Chicksen replacing Ryan Harley for MK Dons, and Jason Scotland coming on for the impressive Marlon Harewood for Barnsley.
MK Dons get things going for the second period.
Barnsley go into the break 2-0 to the good, after goals from Chris Dagnall and Marlon Harewood. It's been very comfortable for the visitors so far, against an MK Dons side that have barely threatened at all.
MK Dons midfielder Luke Chadwick becomes the first player in the referee's book for a foul in the centre circle.
Two added minutes at the end of the first half.
Barnsley counter through Chris Dagnall down the left. With two team-mates ahead of him, Dagnall's cross is poor, failing to beat the first man.
Dons defender Gary MacKenzie tussles with Jacob Mellis at the back, and while challenging for the ball puts his arm across the Barnsley midfielder. Mellis goes down clutching his face and the referee calls it back for a drop ball after he received treatment from the physio. Nothing in it really.
Despite his advancing years, Marlon Harewood is still causing MK Dons all sorts of problems. It's not just his physical presence that they seemingly can't handle; when he's on the ball he's very difficult to disposses. He also carves another opening for Barnsley after a strong run down the right, but his low slotted pass is cut out by a Dons defender.
Darren Potter's cross into the Barnsley box is headed out by the defence, but only as far as Jon Otsemobor, who takes a touch and powers an effort goalwards, only to see it fly well over the crossbar.
Scott Golbourne finds himself with the ball in the right-hand corner. With two MK Dons players bearing down on him, it looks as though he has nowhere to go, but the full back produces a lovely bit of skill to juggle the ball over an opposition player's head, which allows him to stride into the box. Sadly for him, he runs into another Dons defender, who makes the challenge and clears.
Powerful run by Marlon Harewood in the MK Dons box, but despite all his endeavour, the striker runs into an opposition player. He manages to force a corner, which is far too long and goes behind for a goal kick.
More good play from Barnsley, who utilise possession well in the final third and almost force an error from Dons goalkeeper David Martin.
Barnsley's midfield is getting loads of space to really pull the strings in the middle of the park. MK Dons are getting outplayed and outnumbered, and Tykes boss David Flitcroft will be delighted.
Great team goal from Barnsley, but again, Karl Robinson will be furious at his MK Dons players for allowing their opponents so much space. Scott Wiseman is slotted through down the right, he cuts it back from the byline towards Harewood who is standing on the penalty spot, and the striker makes to mistake, stroking the ball home with ease.
And there he is! Harewood comfortably makes it 2-0 to Barnsley.
Barnsley's Marlon Harewood is having a great game out there today. The 33-year-old is using all his years to make some superb touches up top.
Barnsley should be 2-0 up, and Dagnall should have got his second. Jon Otsemobor is dawdling at the back, and plays the Tykes striker onside after a ball over the top of the defence. He races through with the goal at his mercy, but ends up firing high over the bar - a wasted opportunity.
MK Dons don't look settled yet, and deserve to be 1-0 down against a Barnsley side that raced out of the blocks. Alan Smith looks isolated up front on his own so far.
An early goal always helps, but Dons boss Karl Robinson will know that there's a long way to go in this one. Barnsley well on top as it stands, though.
A ball over the top from Kelvin Etuhu catches the home side's defence out, allowing Chris Dagnall to race through and slot home past David Martin. Sloppy stuff from MK Dons, but a great finish by Dagnall to give his side the early advantage.
Perfect start for Barnsley, as Chris Dagnall opens the scoring inside three minutes!
Barnsley get things underway at Stadium:MK - the visitors playing in their changed strip of blue and black, while MK Dons are in their familiar all white.

Barnsley's Trinidadian striker Jason Scotland could start after bagging three goals off the substitute's bench in the last three games, following his January move from Ipswich. Meanwhile, Scott Wiseman is a doubt after the defender picked up a knock in training.
Dons forward Izale McLeod is cup-tied for this afternoon's fifth round tie, having appeared already in the competition for Portsmouth. This means former Manchester United and Leeds striker Alan Smith, who grew up just 25 minutes from Barnsley, is likely to start up top.
Today is the sixth time the two sides have met competitively, having played out three draws and a Barnsley win in their four League One meetings between 2004 and 2006. This was followed by the Dons knocking the Tykes out of the Carling Cup a season later.
MK Dons are enjoying their best ever FA Cup run, having never made it past round three before this year's competition. Cambridge City, AFC Wimbledon, Sheffield Wednesday and QPR have all been brushed aside by Karl Robinson's men, on their way to setting up a fifth round tie with Barnsley this afternoon. Their opponents, while struggling in the league, have managed to overcome Hull City and Burnley so far, despite recording just nine wins from 31 games in the Championship. The Tykes' new boss David Flitcroft spoke recently of his love for the FA Cup, and how he wanted his Barnsley side to go as far as possible in the competition. In contrast, Robinson said he would swap his MK Dons side's record-breaking cup run for an automatic promotion spot in League One this year. He might not be saying that should they overcome Barnsley today and find themselves in the last eight.
Championship strugglers Barnsley travel south to face League One's MK Dons this afternoon, in the fifth round of the FA Cup. Kick-off is 15:00 GMT.
